![]() Jyri Salomaa
Jyri Salomaa is a research team leader in Nokia Research Center with more than 5 years experience in mobile gaming. He joined Nokia 1997 and received his Master of Science (Technology) degree from Helsinki University of Technology in 1999. Jyri has a strong passion to provide new experiences to mobile phone users and has been involved in developing various innovative game concepts and technologies. As one of latest projects he was working on urban game experience project called Manhattan Stories Mashup that involved more than 200 players in Manhattan, New York. Together with his team Jyri is a co-author of the Mobile Gaming 2010 report to be published by end of 2006.
Jyri Salomaa is currently responsible of research in services and applications area focusing on Asian market. During year 2006 he has been in charge of the educational mobile service project based on open source application platform called MUPE (Multi-User Publishing Environment). Living now 1 year in China Jyri has strong motivation to apply his previous knowledge to provide solutions to people in the rural areas to help in their daily activities.
